My site (www.girlfriendology.com) is a positive online community for women also. It’s based on female friendship and features inspiring podcasts, videos, blogs, etc. I’d love to work with you to cross-promote and it would be fun to interview you for our podcasts.
Check out Girlfriendology and let me know what you think.
Thanks again for the great site! All the best to you – Debba Haupert

I just watched the tv spot and I really enjoyed it. You and Maure were great and fun for me to watch. I am excited to have found this website since I am on my way to 50. It gives me a reservoir of information to look forward to perusing and I will share your site with my clients who are also on their way or already there.
In my profession as an esthetician I have learned how important looking good and feeling good are for all women. I did not always believe in the importance of this but as I have gotten older I see that it is not trivial it is vital! Thanks for the great site! Monica Aimar Schiff

Hi Eileen. Am enjoying the website tremendously! I’ve co-authored a women’s humor book titled, “WOOF: Women Only Over Fifty,” and would like to be considered for your blog roll. Woofers Club is a new site dedicated to the over-fifty woman and providing a forum to showcase the humorous side of the aging process.
We all need support as we tackle issues like hormones, aching knees, empty nests and retirement. Keeping a sense of humor is key. I’m so grateful for all the websites that address these issues.

Hi – welcome to the club! Seems there are a lot of us finding ways to connect and redefine what it means to age well. I would love to be a guest on your radio show. As a leading edge boomer I have walked the walk. I share my journey and what I learned in my book, “Amazing Grays – A Woman’s Guide to Making the Next 50 the BEST 50 (Regardless of your hair color!)” You can learn more at http://www.maggiecrane.com. I too, am grateful that women are stepping out and finding ways to share our stories.

Hi Ladies — just thought I’d say hi and let you know that I’m having a great time writing my next book, An Evolving Woman. Life just keeps getting better and I’m delighted to see so many wonderful women are enjoying the ride with me. There are days when I’m so grateful and inspired by life — when I was a young woman I never thought it would be this good! Wishing you all the best, Pam

Hello Everyone
I came to this website via an article in the british newspaper The Observer. Amelia Hill, Social affairs correspondent reviewing a book 50 is the new fifty by Suzanne Braun Levine. And then I looked into the website. Well done, lovely to read so many positive comments on babyboomers, myself being one. At 50 I took a course for teaching English, played tennis after 40 and learnt to ski. Now 50 plus, plus I simply get on with life and ‘don’t count the candles’ (the title of a documentary on growing old by Lord Snowdon- for those of us ‘young’ enough to remember and former husband of Princess Margaret. A fashion magazine here in Switzerland celebrated its 75th anniversary with one former James Bond lady who just turned the same age ‘gracing’ the cover- she is after all a Swiss. Oh, heavens, what a disaster. Ursula Andress’s face makeover was just beyond the pale. She was just about recognisable and I wrote to the magazine with some non- too flattering comments- no response from them of course. This was a clear case of not wanting to age under any circumstances. Pro-age as the Dove advertisements are currently promoting is a non-starter with Miss Andress. What a burden for her and those of her ilk who feel they have to be perennially young. Anyone who has read Read Oscar Wilde’s l’Dorian Gray’ will, I’m sure feel otherwise.
Good health and contentment to you all.

Hi, i also read about you in the British Observer Newspaper. I am too old to be a baby boomer but in my late 60s still working and loving it [ I am a make-up designer working mainly with top theatre and opera colleges in London].I feel right now that I am at the to of my game and am busier than I have ever been, fortunately in my world age is not so important except for poor actresses. I feel that it is SO important that older women fight to be seen in society as the amazing people that they are.It isn’t necessary to go down the surgey/ botox route, all you need is a good haircut, good posture, style and a bit of confidence. Do you have a sister organisation in the U.K ? if so I would join it. I would have sent you a picture if I could have. More strength to your arm ! Rosemarie

Hi. Great site! I’m into all this too, as a 60 yrs bold professional singer/songwriter from New Zealand. I love the whole thing of uplifting each other, and my contribution as a feisty woman is that I am the world’s first boomer Post-feminist Punk Rock Star! (fun, eh!). I write new boomer songs – no nostalgia here! (am posting the lyrics on my blog – and soon my first single). My songs are in many moods, actually, including warm fuzzy songs about my kids and grandchildren, and love songs alongside my generally outrageous rock songs. I am babyboomergirl here on WordPress, and babyboomergirl1 on Twitter. Hope to hear from you!

So glad I stumbled onto your site Eileen! I’ve just put together a book which is a collection of articles I wrote for http://www.timelesswoman.ca and I’ve called it Celebrate Age! (which you can buy at my website http://www.willowtree.ca) We are in SUCH a great stage of our lives! And I want to let every other woman know how wonderful she is at this age! Your site is probably the most positive, affirming, upbeat website for older women that I’ve seen. Keep going!

Being a boomer lady with all this creativity bottled up in me, I’ve been cracking jokes about our generation since I turned 50, now I’ve decided to put my humor on t-shirts for our fabulous boomer generation. I started this website http://www.flirtygirltees.com/boomer-ladies.html Funny stuff in here, ladies. Thanks for such a great site Mary Eileen! I’ll be visiting often, I hope you will visit my website.

I’ve just spent a totally delightful hour meandering through this site and I love it. I’m now working on a book that will be based on the ongoing saga that I’ve been chronicling on what’s happened — after surviving 1st marriage & divorce, raising 3 kids on my own (with a short-lived 2nd marriage & divorce in the middle), midlife crises … and I mean crises, empty-nest syndrome, boomerang kids, a 3rd marriage (a happy one) and the years of and end to a fairly successful career — when I entered the universe called retirement. My website, http://www.forthefirstime.ca, is for women who are retiring with gusto. Sounds like some of your Feisty Side of Fifty/Baby Boomer Women for sure.
How great to find kindred spirits on-line.

Hi!
Just found your website and am fascinated. Thought I’d introduce myself — I’m a multi-published writer that didn’t start writing until past the age of 50.
It’s added a whole new dimension to my life.

Eileen, “feisty” is right! We’ve earned the right and freedom to be our authentic selves. For me, that meant giving myself permission to write humor books for baby boomer women. I published my first title at age 51, and I’ve since become an award-winning author. So it’s never too late to start a new career!
My latest book, Stilettos No More, takes a funny look at fashion, fitness, and life after 50.

Eileen, wanted to stop by agian and this time actually leave a message! We’ve connected a few times at Boomer Diva Nation. Love your site, you do a great job sharing so much information! Would love to have you and any of your viewers stop by and “Like” my Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/simplesocialmediatv. My blog is http://www.simplesocialmedia.TV …it’s that simple!

Hello Eileen, I only wanted to point out one thing to you. You keep referring to age discrimination as ageism. Call a spade a spade. Thanks, Glenn.

Hello Eileen,
Thanks for offering this great forum. I’m your Montana Soul Sister. Years ago I was news director at a small AM Radio station. I’d love to get some feedback from your readers on my blog. Too broad? TOO uppity? Not relevant? My blog is wedgeblog.net and you can get there by clicking http://bit.ly/Qlf0A.
My latest post? “You, Me, Oprah & Maria: Tick Tock and All That”: I know lots of women who speed up as we age; men who may feel ‘accomplished’ want to slow down. This leads to dissonant relationships. Please page down to “The Dirty Trick of Physical Fitness”, about how we have to increase our exercise regimen just to maintain a level of fitness. Honest, helpful comments from my peers would be appreciated. Thanks, Claire

Hi! I love your site. I just turned fifty and left my corporate job to pursue my dream. In May 2011, along with my sister, we launched an on-line magazine for fashion, trends, styling, beauty and shopping advice targeted to boomer women, styletti.com. Our readers are women who either don’t have the time to keep up with the trends, or find the typical fashion sites and magazines not relevant to their needs. Our brand position is an upscale site with realistic information. This isn’t designer level or catwalk. We offer information that is clear and attainable. Our content is free and you can actually shop on the site from some of the world’s best brands and retailers. I hope that you enjoy are new on-line magazine!
