Do you consider yourself to be a difficult woman? Actually, this description likely suits you better than you might think. After all, we boomers are a generation of difficult women!
Not willing to settle for the 1950’s female role models of our youth, we feisty gals (no doubt fueled by flower-power) put our hearts, souls and youthful energies into mounting the women’s movement of the 1970s. Now I like to say we are… Embracing life, as we grow older. No invisible shrinking violets here! We’re an amazing and bodacious group of women who are revolutionizing and reinventing the spirit and style of aging.
Speaking of bodacious, I had the great pleasure of interviewing bestselling author, Karen Karbo. Karen is especially beloved for her “Kick-Ass Women” series celebrating those of us lucky enough to boast a double-X chromosome. She has just released her latest book. It’s called In Praise of Difficult Women: Life Lessons From 29 Heroines Who Dared To break The Rules, and Karen joined us to share all about it.
The interview was lively and fun… not to mention bodacious. So, for all of the difficult women you admire—and in honor of the one you are—give yourself a treat and take a listen!
